Mercedes me connect will be offered in new V-Class van

From June 2016 customers in 20 Mercedes me markets will be able to conveniently connect to their new Mercedes-Benz V-Class van at any time using a smartphone, tablet or PC. The free Mercedes me connect basic services include the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system, accident, maintenance and breakdown management as well as telediagnosis and vehicle remote diagnosis.

The real-time traffic service "Live Traffic Information" and numerous Remote Online services are also available as an option. These include navigating to the parked vehicle, vehicle location via GPS, geographic vehicle monitoring, locking and unlocking doors, programming the auxiliary heater as well as remote retrieval of the vehicle status such as fuel tank level and tyre pressure.

The Remote Online equipment is optionally available for new cars in conjunction with the Audio 20 CD and Audio 20 USB multimedia systems, and comes as standard in combination with COMAND Online. Usage of the Remote Online services and "Live Traffic Information" is limited to three years after first registration and can then be extended at an extra charge.
