China: SAIC-GM launches Cadillac CT6 with connectivity features
Issue Date: 2016-02-18

The Cadillac User Experience (CUE) infotainment system in the new SAIC-GM Cadillac CT6 features a 10.2-inch-diagonal interface screen. It integrates the Apple CarPlay system, which enables a mobile phone to control the center console display or vice versa. OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot, which can connect up to seven devices simultaneously, allows the driver and passengers to stay online anytime, anywhere.

The rear-seat Blu-ray entertainment system has two independent 10-inch-diagonal screens, wireless earphones and remote controls. Users can play Blu-ray DVDs, operate the onboard television, enjoy a fast web-browsing experience and even adjust the rear massage seats.

The CT6 is the first vehicle in the industry featuring the Bose Panaray audio system, which includes 34 strategically placed speakers for exceptional acoustics and a theater-like experience. Combined with the Bose ANC system, it also creates a bank vault-like quiet cabin.

Advanced active safety technologies

The CT6 boasts a suite of advanced active safety technologies that help identify potential crash situations and even intervene when the threat of a crash appears imminent.

Its high-definition streaming rear camera mirror has an expansive viewing angle of 80 degrees, which is three times greater than an ordinary rearview mirror. The intelligent infrared night vision system can alert the driver to objects up to 80 meters in front of the car as well as their size, speed and type, and the direction in which they are moving.

The Enhanced Safety Strategy (ESS) II package includes nine active safety technologies, such as pedestrian collision mitigation technology and adaptive cruise control.
